River View Loppet

  • Join us on Saturday, January 16, 2021 for the 26th annual River View Loppet Ski Race.

Races begin at 9 am and 2PM.  There are 10K & 18K Classic Races in the morning and 10K & 18K Freestyle Races in the afternoon.

Virtual Challenge; We are also planning a Virtual challenge event beginning Jan 17 and running until Jan. 24. For this event, you also register on-line, but you choose your own start time over the course of 8 days. You follow the same race course as the in-person events and you can choose to report your time for posting on our website and compare your time with other virtual racers.

Registration and schedule

All registration is on line at Skireg.com/river-view-loppet. Registrations end when the 45 participant number is reached for each in-person race event. Registrations begin on November 14 at 8 AM and conclude on January 15, 2021 at 5 PM. NO day of event registration.

Classic event – 8 AM to 9 AM bib pick-up and silent auction at the New Ski Hut at After Hours Trail. Silent Auction items will  be given out at 11 AM for the Classic Event.

9 AM Classic Event Interval starts will begin. You will have a preassigned bib and start time.

Freestyle event-1:30 PM to 2PM Skate Event bib pick-up and silent auction items at the New Ski Hut at After Hours Trail. Silent Auction items will be given out at 4 PM for the skate event.

2 PM Skate Event Interval starts will begin. You will have preassigned bib and start times.

Top male and female racers will be mailed their event awards for each race.

No Age category awards will be given out however race results will be posted by age and gender category on Skiinyski.com and Brulexcski.com.

Due to weather and/or course conditions, the start may be delayed, race distances changed, or the event cancelled. Sorry, there are no transfers or refunds of entry fees.


Classic & Freestyle

For  age divisions 15 and under, 16-18, 19-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65, and 66-70, and 71+. there are 10 K  and 18 K events.

All races start and finish at the After Hours Ski Trail ski hut. Classic and skate lanes are provided throughout the course. For more information, call:  218-590-3051


All ski races are interval starts, two persons per start.  Waves are 1 minute apart.

Results will be posted at the After Hours Trail head.  Results will also be posted at www.skinnyski.com and www.brulexcski.com
